Finally, there’s the coral reef exhibit, and the conservation exhibit, that will help to teach you what you can do to preserve these species for future people to enjoy!
Not only are you able to see these great creatures, but learn about them. Take, for example, the jellyfish. This fish is older than all our ancient reptile species, and are believed to have been around for 650 million years! There are over 350 different species of jellyfish that have been discovered. Some like the lion’s mane jellyfish are over 2 yards long, while others are the size of a pinhead. Jellyfish have astounded scientists for years, as they have no nerves, blood, heart, or brain, and are made up of 95% water!
Aquariums give us a chance to step into a world that we otherwise aren’t normally able to be a part of. The ocean holds many secrets, much of which are yet to be discovered by us.
