Town ‘n’ Country is a residential community in Upper Tampa Bay, Florida. Once an agricultural area, Town ‘n’ Country was suburbanized in the late 1950’s, and has continued to grow ever since. Today, it is a thriving community that enjoys all the benefits of the Sunshine State.
When Upper Tampa Bay began to grow, the original Town ‘n’ Country area was a huge cattle ranch and dairy; in fact, most of the meat and dairy products that was consumed by the Upper Tampa Bay area were produced there. For a while, the land remained agricultural while all around, homes and businesses were rapidly transforming the area. Around 1958, the LaMonte-Shimberg Corporation bought the 525 acre dairy farm from D. Wayne Webb with the intention of creating a small subdivision. By 1978, the LaMonte-Shimberg Corporation had built and sold over 8,000 homes, making Town ‘n’ Country much larger than the 525 acre subdivision that it was expected to be. In addition to the LaMonte-Shimberg Corporation, many construction companies jumped on the opportunity to build and sell in the booming area and before long Town ‘n’ Country was it’s own bustling community.
Just south of Town ‘n’ Country is the Tampa International Airport. The Tampa Airport has an interesting history dating back to the start of commercial airline services. In fact, on January 1, 1914, Tony Jannus flew the first flight of the St. Petersburg-Tampa Airboat line. This was the first ever commercial airline flight that used a heavier-than-air airplane. A heavier-than-air aircraft refers to a machine that has to find some way to push air or gas downwards in order to launch and remain in flight. In this case, it refers to an airplane, but this could also be a helicopter, jet, or even a rocket. Conversely, a lighter-than-air craft refers to something like a hot air balloon or zeppelin that uses gases with a lighter density than air to displace the aircraft and essentially float through the air like a boat floats on water.
The Tampa International Airport led the way in what is today’s third most common form of passenger transportation in the world. The Tampa International Airport itself has continued to grow throughout the years and in 2016, it was the 29th busiest airport in North America, serving 18,931,922 passengers. There are flights out of Tampa that go all over the world, including four flights to Cuba. Only one other airport in the U.S. flies to Cuba. In 2016, the Tampa Airport was also named one of the top 3 airports in the country by Condé Nast. The Tampa International Airport could tutor other airports in innovation and world travel. Aviation will never be the same, thanks to the Tampa International Airport.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
Typically within 2-3 business days, depending on subject, location, and schedule availability. Urgent timelines are noted in your profile so introductions prioritize your timing.
