The University of South Florida also referred to as USF, is a notable research college located in Tampa. USF was the first independent state university to be fully conceived, designed, and constructed in the 1900’s. Built in 1956, the university has only continue to grow and now serves students from all fifty states and one hundred and thirty seven countries. The college is also ranked as one of the top “veteran friendly” colleges in the U.S. In 2009, USF became the first college to partner with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and create programs to help veterans take full advantage of the G.I.
