Brandon tutors often eat at local favorite fast food restaurant “Beef O’Brady’s” which was founded in Brandon in 1985. Although they admit that they passed up on going there for a while.
“Beef O’Brady’s” has just gone through an overhaul after flagging during the recession. The fast food chain began in 1985 the concept of husband and wife team Jim and Jeanette Mellody. The theme is a cross between an Irish pub, a sports bar and a burger joint (with no alcohol). Inside a “Beef O’Brady’s” there are multiple televisions screening all of the different sports games and matches that are playing that day, and there are pool tables and other games designed to entertain the children. They began franchising the business in 1998, and although many stores closed in the recent recession there has more recently been a substantial upturn in their profits and many new branches have just newly opened.
According to Brandon tutors, the fortune of “Beef O’Brady’s” changed the day when they opened up the CEO position to the well respected and experienced Chris Elliott who had previously helped in the success of food chains “Cinabbon”, and “Pizza Hut.” He took a very hands-on approach to investigating why the restaurants were not performing well. The statistics showed that year on year annual sales had been on a steady decline, which had forced more than one hundred stores to close their doors. He wanted to ascertain why there was this sudden downtrend, in order to turn the business around, and help the company begin to thrive again.
What he found was alarming to say the least. After dining in fifty “Beef O’Brady’s” restaurants his findings were conclusive, he simply thought that the food was not that good. So his immediate strategy was to overhaul the menu and to make sure the public knew about it. According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s interview with Chris Elliot, the biggest difficulty was convincing the franchise owners to invest in higher quality ingredients, especially as they were already operating on razor thin profits. The first modification to the menu was the ever-popular chicken tenders. They went from being frozen and heated up to being cooked freshly in the kitchen. This in itself was a hurdle, as the individual kitchens did not think they could capably manage to make enough in house to keep up with nightly demand. However thanks to Chris’ determination and positivity they were proved wrong, and the first step was in place on their path to transformation.
“Beef O’Brady’s” have recently even begun to launch franchises overseas, such has been the success of the U.S. franchises.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
