Do you love butterflies? Do you happen to be in Chesterfield Missouri? Well then you’re in luck! Chesterfield is home to a large one of a kind butterfly house that will make all your dreams come true of being surrounded by those light, colorful creatures.
The Butterfly House at Faust Park is home to hundreds of butterflies that all live in a natural landscape beautiful in and of itself. If you’ve been covering plant and insect biology with your Chesterfield tutor, then this is the place to visit to get your hands-on experience. They create a one of a kind tropical experience in Missouri, where the butterflies can live comfortably and people from all around can come to enjoy.
The main attraction is the conservatory, an 8,000 square foot glass domed building that houses over 2,000 butterflies of about 80 different species. The building is filled with hundreds of tropical plants, and in the warmer months of the year there is even an outdoor garden that spectators can enjoy. The plants in this outdoor garden are maintained a source of nectar for the butterflies. This outdoor garden is designed to attract butterflies and caterpillars, and even has a reflecting pool and a 28-foot-tall butterfly sculpture!
Once you’re done touring those spaces, your Chesterfield tutor will probably recommend you visit the exhibit, which will you give more detail about the different species of butterflies and other helpful insects, telling you about them as well as where they are from. After this exhibit you’ll definitely want to watch a short documentary made available called The Butterfly Effect that goes into even more detail about butterflies as well as their anatomy. This informative documentary will teach you a lot about these delicate creatures, and is perfect for someone interested in biological sciences, but could be enjoyable for anybody.
The Butterfly House also puts on a variety of events that cater to anyone, so make sure to keep an eye on the calendar to see if there’s anything coming up that might interest you. Along with this butterfly house there are a variety of botanical exhibits in Chesterfield that you can visit if this exhibit intrigues you and encourages you to learn more. So next time you are taking a break from your studies and the weather is right, why not go get some hands on experience and head on over to the Butterfly House!

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
Typically within 2-3 business days, depending on subject, location, and schedule availability. Urgent timelines are noted in your profile so introductions prioritize your timing.
