Creve Coeur Lake now features athletic fields, tennis courts, picnicking facilities, as well as golf courses and a bridge that joins the city of St. Louis to the park. The lake itself is one of the largest in the state of Missouri, naturally formed, and has been the target of conservation efforts, particularly the study of different waterfowl roost and nest along its shores.
