If you’ve been going over history with your Cypress tutor then I’m sure the medieval times has come up, a period of knights, tournaments and horseback riding.
Imagine being in the middle of it all. You can see the king and queen sitting in the grandstand. Nobleman would sit beside them, uncles, aunts, and cousins of the kind and queen, all there to watch the spectacle. In the surrounding bleaches are the villagers of all ages and genders, come together to see as well. The butcher, the blacksmith, the shop keep, all closed to come and find out who has what it takes, cheer on the victors and boo the losers.
Imagine being one of those knights atop your horse, ready to compete for your honor and high title. The large beast underneath you is nothing but solid muscle, toned and conditioned for this event, adorned with flags and saddle blankets the same as your shield. You’ve prepped and trained, as you ride into the arena dressed in your best armor, your helmet shield pulled down, your lance at your side ready to be lowered and rushed at your enemy.
You line your horse up at the fence, as your opponent lines up on the other side. You both look at each other, the same goals in mind. The trumpet blares, and you kick your horse forward full speed ahead, feeling the movement as your horse jars forward. You lower your lance as you approach your opponent, at the same time holding your shield close to deflect your blow. And then it happens, their lance smashes into your shield and shatters into bits, while your lance manages to strike a solid blow and knock them off their horse. You’ve won!
