Southern California is host to many events including fairs, concerts, music festivals, and much more. Brea California is no exception, and each year Brea puts on a huge celebration known as Brea Fest. No this is not the same thing as October fest! This festival is appropriate for all ages, and a great way to go and celebrate the A on the latest test that you got with the help of your Brea tutor!

Don’t worry about having nothing to eat at this event, Brea fest offers food samples and beverages from over 30 different restaurants. This wide variety means there’s bound to be something there for even the pickiest eater. Two outdoor bands fill the air with live music, so even if you don’t want to walk around you can enjoy the bands and hang out with friends and family. There’s even a Gallery with live music as well, where you can see work done by local artists, live theater performances, and even some off the wall things like magicians and balloon artists.

“Kidsville” features things like arts and crafts tables and kid friendly foods. They also feature something that while designed for kids even adults could get into, like caricature artists and face painting. I mean, who doesn’t love to have their face painted every once in a while!

The purpose of Brea Fest is help support the city of Brea’s art programs, such as the Curtis Theater, the Brea Gallery, Summer Concerts in the Park and other art education classes and activities that the city puts on throughout the year. We all know how integral art education is to so many people, and even those who don’t consider themselves an artist can appreciate the hard work of those that do. Strolling through an art gallery, listening to a local band, or maybe just taking a local jewelry crafting class are things that many of us enjoy.

Working with your Brea tutor is hard work, though well worth it, you might find sometimes you need to take a break to process all the great information you just learned. While Brea Fest doesn’t go on year round, it’s something you could plan for in advance, and maybe even put together a group of people to go with you! Then you can get out, get some sun, hear some great music and support the local art foundations in your city!
