My experiences in the field of education over the past eighteen years have afforded me the opportunity to interact with students, teachers, and parents in a variety of educational settings. I taught full-time for almost five years in the public schools as a third and fourth grade teacher, engaging students by fostering a positive learning environment and implementing a wide range of instructional strategies designed to meet the needs of diverse student populations. Last year, I had the opportunity to work as a Student Teacher Supervisor, mentoring an elementary teacher candidate by conducting formal evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with master teachers and university faculty. Most recently, I have been working as a home education consultant, serving as a teacher in a local home school cooperative, and homeschooling my own children. Additionally, based on my current and past experiences, I have proven to be a dependable, trustworthy, and caring individual who maintains professional, yet personable, relationships with adminstrators, teachers, parents, and students. I believe I can use my skills, training, and experience to assist students by implementing personalized, structured learning opportunities in hopes of increasing student confidence, ability, and performance.

I would be a great tutor because I have a passion for aiding people in gaining confidence and a better sense of self through knowledge. I am a very patient person and am able to break things down and/or take a different approach if a student does not understand the way I am presenting material. I was in the military for five years which has given me the opportunity to experience different cultures and different learning techniques through real world application. I hope to be a college professor someday and I feel this would be a an amazing stepping stone for me. I am so passionate about the advancement of my generation and younger generations and I would be honored to have a hand in molding the future. There is no other position I want more than to teach, it is where my heart and soul lies. It is also my belief that when somebody is truly passionate and truly loves what they are doing that sparks excitement in those involved. I want to be that for somebody, for lots of people.

I am very skilled at conducting lesson plans and keeping students engaged. My experience in many different education positions has shaped me into an enthusiastic, young, educator who loves teaching anything he can. I am extremely confident in my teaching skills and know that I can succeed in any educational opportunity.I have worked for many different families as tutors for their children during the school year as well as an independent study teacher. I also have extensive experience working in the classroom with student and leading lessons.

My tutoring experience ranges from pre-K to high school and I have approximately 400+ logged hours through various California tutoring agencies including private tutoring while teaching.ACE Tutoring Inc. I'm very confident in both my language skills as well as a university student. I love working with young people who need help with material and find it extremely rewarding to know that my time, persistence and effort pay off for other students who want to learn new material. I am known for always being extremely reliable, as I have had many responsibilities from a young age and believe strongly in being on time.Extensive experience tutoring college-level students in italian, providing help with essays, casual conversations to brush up oral skills, grammar and help translating or getting through Italian literature. Some experience tutoring elementary school-aged kids with a focus on grammar and conversational skills

I have experience in teaching grades k-6. I've been a substitute teacher, a preschool teacher, I've taught 1st grade for 2 years, I was an elementary intervention teacher and I also taught High School classes for the CAHSEE. I feel confident that I can help struggling students in the elementary level. I'm an organized person, always on time, and always fulfill my commitments.

I believe I will be a wonderful contribution to the Grade Potential mission for the following reasons. I truly enjoy helping and teaching students to set and reach new goals everyday. I love seeing the student's reactions when they strive in a difficult task and gain momentum in their abilities as young scholars. I wish to be a mentor and role model with every student that I work with. Whether it be advice about college applications or possibilities of future careers based on their own unique strengths and passion. I have a sincere dedication to help every child gain confidence in school and become the best version of themselves.My students depend on me to be on time and mentally present when I am with them; and I take this responsibility and commitment towards the student, seriously. Just as I would with my own tutors, I want my students to able to take full advantage of my help so that they are 110% satisfied and can be successful in the future.

As an individual who'll admit to loving school, I enjoy knowing I'm helping others understand material they may struggle with. I've worked as a tutor before and know how to interact with many different types of students. I am reliable because I'm organized, have reliable transportation, and truly don't want to let down a student or his or her parents. I'm willing to work with a variety of needs, and I will be as flexible as possible with my schedule. Most of all, however, I am not easily angered and always have a positive attitude. I know how frustrating it can be to not grasp a subject and its my job to stay positive and help him or her through it. Others have commented on my ability to be very patient and I have strong listening skills.
