I feel I would be a great tutor for Grade Potential because of my teaching philosophy that is based on active student participation and stimulating critical thinking in students. I’ve always had a passion to teach students and witnessing their development into better students. At UC, Santa Barbara, my teaching evaluations received high scores because I displayed enthusiasm for teaching, sensibilities to each student’s ability to learn, and providing daily lessons that required their active participation. I welcomed student questions and comments at every opportunity because I believe that educators are learning themselves and their student’s feedback is a way to gauge their own performance. In regards to Grade Potential, working with students at different levels requires a person who is attentive to their student’s needs by consistently adapting new ideas and concepts based on the performance of their student. My life goal is to receive my PhD and become a professor, and every opportunity to grow as an educator would be key to my success. An opportunity at Grade Potential would allow me to continue my growth as an educator. I have come this far in life because I have been a dedicated individual who’s been driven by his goals for his idea of success. During my academic career, I attended every class on time, kept every appointment, and was ten minutes early to every meeting.

I would make a good tutor for Grade Potential because I find joy in helping students understand concepts they struggle with. Having learned from past experience, I ensure that the student understands what they are learning and ensure that I am truly helping them to understand the material for themselves. I am a person who is patient, reliable, and punctual; I rarely am late to class or appointments. I do everything in my power in being on time to appointments and meetings.

First and foremost, i have knowledge which got me admission in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras one of the prestigious institutes of Asia for undergraduate degree and in UCSB for graduate degree. Second, i have good teaching skills(like explaining with figures or real world examples or saying story behind the derivation etc). I am very good listener and i can figure out what kind of explanations needed for the student to understand the topic. I have a friendly personality so the student can feel comfortable asking questions and does not feel bad if he or she does not get the material quickly. Lastly, I have the passion to work with young people and model a good student behavior as well as professionalism.Qualities to show as Reliable person: I have certificates for 100% attendance of all the classes at school and also very good attendance at Undergrad level, which shows that am very punctual and studious person. I cant let down any one, who has belief in me, so i can fulfill all the commitments i make to the students.

I have written books on interactive tutorial resources online for science and math. I have tutored on many levels: I tutored my own son throughout his K-12 years. I have run workshops in the past that taught people how to do things ranging from applying for college financial aid to having self esteem. I have been hired in the past to write hundreds of educational tutorial articles for Demand Studios, EHow and About.com. I have helped many people who would have never gone to college to get their degrees by helping to demystify the whole college schema for them.

Teaching is my passion. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction when the student understands the material and is able to apply it in future assignments and other type of life situations. I believe that not everyone learns the same way. I offer different strategies depending on the age and the student's needs to be able to achieve the best results and for the student to have a positive and successful learning experience. I am reliable, responsible, structured, with outstanding multitasking and organizational skills.

I would be a good fit for Grade Potential because of my ability to be a very approachable person as well as my relaxed, but motivated attitude. I can proudly say that with all of the different employers I have had, every manager I have worked for has credited me for always being a reliable person. I always show up on time and never leave early. I know that I am not always the smartest person nor do I catch on to things quickly all the time, but my personal values allow me to be a respectable person and my hard working ethics keep me focused on my goals. I can honestly say I do not have any enemies. I do not strive for conflict amongst others, and I handle each potential conflict with care and manners. Working with kids would be a dream come true for me right now because my personality allows me to not only become a tutor to these younger adults , but I hope to become a friend to the students and help guide them to success. I can do this by leading by example, and my honesty and integrity will be easy for my students to catch on to. I always work hard with whatever task is put in front of me, and to be a tutor for Grade Potential will be ideal for a man like me who wants to help kids reach their goals while I strive for my own.

I would make a good tutor because I am very passionate about what I am currently studying in school. I love talking about kinesiology and explaining various aspects of it to anyone who will listen to me. My roommate is a track runner and will ask me questions about injuries or anatomy and I love being able to explain my knowledge to her. I also think my ability to take scientific language and ideas and explain them in the colloquial will be very beneficial for tutoring. I am a very patient person who can explain concepts to visual, audio, and kinesthetic learners and break it down until a tough subject is easier to understand. I am also very friendly and outgoing, which would help ease the stress a student might have with a difficult subject.

I am a very bright and friendly person who loves to help individuals of all ages with pretty much everything and anything. I chose to tutor English since that is the subject I have the most confidence in, and I believe I can make the most difference for a child who is struggling with essays, or with grammar homework or spelling. If I could help someone to succeed, it would be the most rewarding experience.
