I have a lot of education and experience in my subject, but mostly, I enjoy teaching. I truly love working with students and look forward to this opportunity.I have tutored for the last 7 years. English, communication and writing has always come easily to me. I am currently working as a freelance editor for graduate students and new novelists.

I find tutoring to be so rewarding, especially with math and you can see the very moment the light clicks on and the problem makes sense. I've always been and always will be a committed and dedicated worker. I know that if I was struggling on a homework assignment and needed help from my tutor, I would be devastated if they cancelled last minute or didn't show up at all, so I would never do that to anybody else.

I would be a good tutor for Grade Potential because I am committed to helping children learn and to feel successful in school. I understand the importance of an educational foundation in learning and I know children need to feel good about themselves in order to succeed. I enjoy creating relationships with my students and getting to know their individual learning needs. I am already a Credentialed Educator, Head Coach and full time mom who keeps her commitments, so there is no reason to assume otherwise.

I have been a teacher for 10+ years. I also have been managing a K-12 homeschool program for 6 years and am very familiar with individualized education. In addition, I have published a book on education describing, in detail, the way in which children learn. I am very comfortable tutoring.I have been privately tutoring for 5+ years on and off.

I think I would make a great tutor because I am very patient. I always try to break down complex ideas and concepts into very simple terms and once the student is able to grasp and understand the basic concept I build upon it. I never walk away from a student until I feel confident that they understand the material.I am a very Reliable person! I never make a commitment unless I know I can 100% follow through.

I recently graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Masters of Science in Biology. During my time at Cal Poly I took a number of high level Biology courses and the contents of those courses are still fresh in my mind. I also had the privilege to teach several different laboratory courses at Cal Poly Pomona and discovered that I have a passion for teaching. Teaching the introductory laboratory courses helped to reinforce the basics of Biology and Microbiology and gave me experience in helping students one on one when they would come to my office hours. I enjoy breaking down complicated concepts into understandable components and am committed to helping my students grow and learn. I look forward to the opportunity of joining the Grade Potential team and increasing the understanding of your students.

I know that I would be a great candidate for Grade potential because I have tutoring experience and I'm constantly expanding my knowledge. I am currently enrolled in the University of California, Santa Barbara and therefore I feel that I am adequate for a tutoring position. In High School I was in a program called AVID, where college students tutored us in needed areas, and I have been exposed to what a tutor's role is. I am an extremely reliable and responsible person. I am always punctual to school and meetings, and I would be the same for work.

I believe that my experience with tutoring the subjects I listed will prove to be very useful since I know the common mistakes people make and alternative ways to solve a problem. I tend to be straight forward with my tutoring and try to make the steps as simple as possible. I can usually break problems into much smaller parts which makes it more approachable for the student.I also have my car at school with me so transportation will not be an issue. I tend to be early for my appointments because I cannot stand making people wait on me. When something unique, such as a tutoring session, is scheduled in advanced I set a reminder on my phone that will remind at the beginning of the day and an hour before the event to make sure I show up to it. I also do not like to rush when tutoring since I understand that when you just memorize how to do something, you are not actually learning the material. There are usually reasons for all the trends and tricks in math and chemistry that help one understand the subject better.
