Ontario, California is a busy, crowded city like many others in the area. Large shopping centers, multiple neighborhoods, even a mall that would be a mile long if you stretched it out in a straight line! It can be nice living in a city, with access to all the amenities you could want along with Ontario tutors. Sometimes, however, it can feel a bit crowded. Well among all this chaos is an olive farm that was established in 1894, the Graber Olive House.
Olive farms are really in debt to the Franciscan missions who introduced the tree to the area of California originally. The first trees were planted at Mission San Diego de Alcala in 1769, and they flourished. Early Californians could almost be compared to Romans, as it became traditional to set the table with fruits and wine, along with olives, for most meals. Their nut-like flavor, and healthy benefits for the consumer, made them a staple for many early Californian diets.
C.C. Graber, the founder of Graber farm, purchased Ontario property and was immediately smitten with olives, as well as the curing methods used by the early farmers. He researched extensively, determined to make sure he did it the right way. As you know from meeting with your Ontario tutor, research and study often pays off, and after C.C. Graber cured his first few barrels of olives, neighbors and friends were demanding more.
C.C. Graber could barely keep up with the demand, and found the need to grow his little homesteading operation into a full-fledged business, which is now the oldest operating business in Ontario, California. Graber’s olives remain in high demand, and even though C.C. himself is no longer around, the care and process of curing the olives go through remains the same today, to preserve the quality of the olives. Though the olives are now grown in the San Joaquin Valley, all of the grading, curing, and canning is still performed at the original farm site. You can even take a tour certain times of the year, and watch and learn about the process that the olives go through.
Graber Olive Farms is an example of how hard work and research really does pay off, and if you are diligent and take the time to become a master of your craft, it will show in whatever you choose to pursue, whether you are striving to be a doctor, lawyer, or even a farmer!

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
