I am reliable and very organized. I feel I can work with students to make them be more confident with their subject matter so they can reach the point of comprehension.Co-Tutoring Chair for Link Crew, a high school freshman orientation program. I tutored for my junior and senior years, and became the co-chair my senior year.

I'd like to consider myself a patient person. I played on a sports team for the last five years that didn't have a coach, so it's been the responsibility of veterans to teach the ways of the sport to newer members. I understand that people learn in very different ways; that explanations work for some, examples work for others, and trial and error work for the really gutsy. I know that it's important to present a technique in a step-by-step progression, whether sports-related or applicable to a problem set, and I'd love to help you tackle some math.

I am a very caring, patient, and understanding person, which will allow my student to feel comfortable with me. I am always eager to help others succeed and enjoying teaching people the study habits and skills necessary to excel academically. I enjoy seeing others understand something they had not understood before.I tutored a sophomore in high school to advance her from a regular chemistry course to an honors chemistry course, in which she was successful. I also have had experience helping my younger sister over the past 7 years with her school work and academic success.

At this point in time, my focus is on becoming a high school math teacher. I spend a lot of time reviewing high school mathematics and the fundamentals behind it. I am willing to communicate with the student's teachers if desired by the student and their parents, and I have a lot of free time to coordinate meet-ups/rendezvous'.

I believe all students have the capacity to learn and it is my goal to teach/tutor in a manner that best reaches each individual learner. This will be accomplished by working with the student utilizing their learning modalities and by reaching them in his or her individual learning style. By utilizing information from the support team of each student and determinining where educational challenges lie I am best able to help and support the student to attain success.

I am recently retired. I have a flexible schedule. I am a certified English teacher. I love literature, writing, and teaching. I work well with adolescents, and truly care about helping them succeed.I taught 5th grade health, as a Teacher Candidate, at Madison Middle School in Rexburg, ID.I tutored 8th grade students individually, and in groups. I also taught portions of the class.I completed my student teaching at Desert Oasis High School, in Las Vegas, NV. I taught 11-12th grade Modern Literature. I taught two periods of Honors courses.

I would be a good tutor for Grade Potential because I have a well-rounded past education and am a very quick learner. I have a lot of patience and, more importantly, a passion to see people succeed and enjoy what they are learning, which will lead to that success. I am good with people and am willing to do whatever I can to help them in their endeavors, especially when it comes to their education. I love to learn and want others to love it as much as I do!I have tutored before in voice and some in piano. I am very good also with teaching people how to properly right papers, along with researching for them and properly citing them, using APA and MLA forms. I would say my strongest subject in school was always English and Literature. I did very well in the basic mathematics all the way up until Algebra II.Along with basic schooling, I took many foreign language classes. The one language I stuck with for 5 years was French.Since I did study the music arts and performance, I took many acting classes too and performance based classes in that area such as improvisation and beginning to advanced acting. I have much experience in the genre of performing in theater and in music.
