My experience working with children has developed a passion and personal commitment to three things: fostering a positive learning environment for students with various backgrounds, maximizing individual student performance and developing student interest in mathematics. I feel that I am a perfect match for tutoring.In my most recent position as an afterschool teacher, I developed highly effective lesson plans, motivational exercises and effective assessments that promoted interest and knowledge retention. I do come from a background that is both unique and distinctive from other applicants, as I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Biomedical Engineering degree. My passion has not always been in the field of mathematics, but it has included reaching out to and inspiring the youth. I do believe that I possess the ability to educate young minds and to help them develop into responsible and successful individuals. My experiences include extensive tutoring, aiding in organizing daily activities in an after school program, and ensuring that students are both organized and controlled. Additionally, I feel as though one of my greatest strengths is my empathy towards students who are struggling. Although this may not be an academically related strength, I do believe it is extremely important in a job where one is interacting with kids. As a child, I struggled because I came from a home where I was not motivated to pursue my dreams. My mom died when I was young, and I soon learned I had to "grow up" fast. Often times, I felt lost, but the one place that I did find comfort and a feeling of self-worth was at school. To this day, the individuals who have made the biggest impact on my life are teachers who continuously pushed me to further my education. In turn, I would love to be able to provide the same encouragement and support to other students who may not have the ideal home environment. I find such joy in being able to touch the lives of others and to also feel as though I am making an impact in this world. I am confident that my background in education and technology will be a valuable asset, and I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this position further. I am a life student and have a passion for education and intellectual growth. School has always come very easy to me and has always been something I enjoyed doing. Tutoring is also something I enjoy and have always been doing, even as a child I was helping my little sister (10 year age difference) to read and write. Since then, I have worked in a nursery at a daycare helping children to read and write. I have assisted many friends and family with homework at all levels, mainly in their writing assignments and understanding psychology. I recently taught English in Greece to 3 Greek children as well. My current work involves teaching about plant based nutrition, supplementation, and nontoxic living for a health and wellness company called Ariix online. I have a passion and natural gift of teaching and educating. I believe it is part of my life purpose to aid in the growth of people through expanding their knowledge in all areas of life, both through reading material and through new life experiences.

I genuinely enjoy tutoring students and helping them to overcome their reading and writing issues and experience more success in their classes. In addition, my experience tutoring students in grades 7 through college in a variety of settings enables me to be comfortable and adaptable in a variety of tutoring situations.

Tutoring takes patience out of someone and I have that.I also have great communications skillsand has a flare for languages.I have tutored different subjects at university level such as math (Algebra and Calculus), Accounting, Finance, and Economics.

I am a tutor because I am used to teaching people new things and help them find a way to better understand. I am a Marine Corps veteran and spent five year teaching men and women how to troubleshoot and perform maintenance actions in order to be successful and proficient in their job. My experience in the military has made me aware that not everyone learns subjects the same way so I am familiar with coming up with new ways to help people understand things better.

I am a hard-working and reliable professional with unmatched organization and communication skills. I am also friendly, patient and positive. In my current role as an administrative assistant and as a former animal care technician, I have been entrusted to facilitate training sessions for new employees. I also have a strong background in journalism, which has helped to improve my expertise in writing. I know that I will be a reliable tutor because I enjoy helping others and genuinely care about my students' success.

As a college graduate, I know the importance of working hard for your education. I can provide motivation and understanding to students who are struggling. I believe encouragement can go a long way when it comes to learning. I show up to work on time and prepared and you can count on me to communicate well with students and employers. I respect student's education so I will be personally committed to improving school performance.

I believe that I would be a good tutor for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, I am extremely passionate about education and learning and the opportunities (both tangible and personal) that result from it. I also come from a family of educators and teachers so I also believe in the power of pedagogy and the idea that not every human learns in the same way. This was a main source of inspiration for combining my passion for education with my passion for human rights and social justice in the context of refugee and immigrant populations. As a result, through my experiences working with these communities, I made a mindful effort to spend time doing one-on-one tutoring (predominately with ESL and homework help). Similarly, I also recently started volunteering with San Diego Refugee Tutoring which allows me to continue to do such work. I will be reliable both for students and your office because I know how meaningful (and how crucial) this help really is for student's lives and experience in school. Similarly, as mentioned previously, I have dedicated my academic and professional career this far to promoting and supporting humanitarian programs, organizations, issues, etc. that touch upon two issues that are very dear to me and my values.
