I am an educator by design. I am a scholar practitioner, and all my schooling has led me to improving the lives of students all around the U.S. My schedule is flexible and I enjoy honing in on my skills as an educator.I have tutored since I was 15 1/2 years old. My first paid tutoring job was through my high school. Throughout my tenure in education, I have enjoyed tutoring/mentoring students. The reward is not just seeing them succeed, but building relationships with each and everyone of them.

I am a good tutor because I am passionate about learning and can translate that passion into helping people with their studies. My teaching experience has been in teaching swim lessons to all ages which could translate well in to a tutoring situation. In swim lessons, I would get the students excited about learning how to swim and progress. I would also adjust my teachings and approaches to each student so they could understand a concept, whether it was that they were going to be okay while putting their head underwater the first time or teaching the right foot position on the wall for a flip turn. As a tutor, I look back on my past experiences as an instructor to make the lessons engaging and thorough. I am currently working and saving up money to go back to school. With trying to save money, pay bills, groceries, and rent I would dedicate my days off to helping out other students.

I am positive, hardworking, and friendly, also have a sense of humor. I like communicate with people, and I can alway build a good relationship with them very quick. I also like helping people, I believe teaching is one method of helping people.I am currently jion Pathway tutor program, and tutor in high school about math.I believe I am reliable, because I always follow the rule. I do what I say, and keep my words.Even though, sometimes it might have some problem, since life is full of accidents. But I believe that I am able to solve the difficulties that appear front of myself.

I am a great tutor because I am able to connect with people automatically and understand where they are struggling with Chemistry. I was a High School Chemistry Teacher for 7 years, so I have ample experience tutoring via multiple platforms. I am a reliable person by nature, and my love for sharing knowledge and helping others to learn science only bolsters that reliance. I am also an avid surfer and artist. I studied Biochemistry/Cell Biology at UCSD. I have conducted research in a medicinal chemistry lab, as well as a bioinformatics lab.

I'm passionate about helping students succeed and I love working with kids. While I don't have any formal tutoring experience, I taught fourth graders engineering principles for three months through the Global Ties Program at UCSD and taught kids kung fu classes during high school. For the past two years I planned on working in Marketing and recently realized how little interest I actually had in the corporate world. I believe my life would be much more fulfilling working as a teacher to help the next generation, and tutoring would be a great first step.

I am currently working as an AVID tutor for all subjects this will be my 3rd year working for the AVID program.I have been working for the AVID Tutoring program for 3 years now. Prior to that, my senior year of high school I was a peer tutor for english learners and before that I did volunteer tutoring at a middle school for community service.
