A popular spot for concerts, festivals, and community events, Mable House is a historic home in Mableton. This old house is located on what was once a large plantation. An amphitheatre was recently built on the property, creating an ideal location for local events and concerts. Running through the city of Mableton, the Silver Comet Trail is a historic path that extends nearly a hundred kilometers (which comes out to just over sixty miles) across Georgia. Spanning several counties, the Silver Comet Trail runs along the route of the Silver Comet Passenger Train that covered this same distance in the middle of the 20th century. This path is open to walkers, runners, bikers, and even horseback riders. Skaters can also be found traversing the trail, and many dogs are walked here daily. This is a popular trail for a wide variety of these recreational activities.
A local favorite, the Mableton Community Garden is a lush, community-run garden plot within the city of Mableton. To join the community garden, a resident must pay monthly dues, and help tend to the garden’s needs. The community garden provides freshly grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, and beautiful flowers to the residents who have a membership at the garden. An asset to the community, families love working in the Mableton Community Garden with their young children, teaching them the value of gardening and all of the health benefits associated with fresh fruits and vegetables.
