A holiday tradition came about here in Brisbane in the middle of the 1900s, and local residents hung large, light-up stars, on their homes, which were displayed on the downhill side of these residents going up the slope of San Bruno Mountain. Even though it is a holiday tradition, many locals leave these lights up year-round, and it adds to the quaint, small-town feel of Brisbane.
