I have plenty experience in this filed since I was Teacher assistance for math and dynamic at san diego state university and I have many individual turing experience as well. I am very hard working and I really like to teach and work with students who have difficulty at math. I like to transfer my knowledge to them and help them to understand the math and learn fundamentally. I am very friendly and have very good communication skills.

I am looking to tutor students in need of extra help or looking to jump ahead to the next years curriculum. Working with students in a classroom or one-on-one setting for the past 10+ yeas has allowed me to understand the individual needs of a student's academic concerns. I am tremendously patient and willing to guide the student to success at a pace they are comfortable learning. Routine is important for a student's academic success whether it be in the classroom or in the home. Because tutoring is a bit more self-reliant I provide weekly email updates and weekly progress logs for students and parents to stay accountable. I have reliable transportation and am willing to meet the student at a place comfortable for them.

Having volunteered around the community at my college, I have had the opportunity to work with children on numerous occasions and have gained the experience of instructing them and teaching something new to them. I understand the patience and persistence that is necessary in order to help them learn new things.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, and any opportunity to help others gain a new appreciation for something I truly love is very fulfilling for me.While working on my BA at CSUN I tutored at the Learning Resource Center on campus. There I tutored students on their writing skills and helped them write, edit and critique their class papers. I also taught students how to properly research when it came to finding the sources they needed to complete their papers, and then how to cite the sources they chose throughout their papers.

I have many years of experience teaching a variety of subjects, am reliable, dedicated, cheerful, and friendly. I genuinely look forward to time spent with students, and am fueled by their success. I maintain a great rapport with students, parents, and coworkers.I have several years of experience teaching ESL one-on-one and in small groups. I have worked in the Education field for fourteen years. My experience consists of being a Tutor, Paraprofessional, Teacher, Behavioral Therapist, Autism Consultant and Program Specialist for a Special Education Department. I have always had a relentless passion for educating students, but it wasn’t until I instructed an Autism and Behavioral Disorder Psychology miniseries at a community college that provoked me to work towards educating and training my peers and colleagues. This experience gave me the motivation and confidence to take a more active role in broadening others Education knowledge, through current issues and curriculum strategies, and services available to overall enhance the learning of students.I know the importance of being an reliable person, many times in my past experience I was one of the reliable or consistent person in my students life. Building a relationship where your student can trust and rely on you as a tutor or teacher, builds their confidence and they can trust you with their fears or anxieties with their learning. This maybe one factor that could be hindering their academic progress. I have always been a person who is loyal and punctual, so my students can depend on me.

First off, I think I would be a good tutor for Grade Potential because I believe I have the necessary experience required. Also, during my previous private tutoring experience, I always made sure to arrive at the house 5-10 minutes early so that I can start right on the desired time.Also, it is important to foster a fun but academic learning experience. Some successes I have had in order to engage students was by offering incentives if there was any improvement in test scores, homework scores, etc. From experience, if you offer students very dry material, they would most likely not be engaged with the material and take the tutoring seriously.

I think that I would be a great tutor because I enjoy helping others by explaining tasks with patience and clarity. As a result of my experience mentoring young children as a summer camp counselor and advising incoming freshmen at my university as an orientation advisor, I have developed a personal approach to helping others, specifically on a one-on-one basis. I intend to teach students to learn material by working together, encouraging practice, requiring them to demonstrate what they've learned, and verbalizing positivity towards their success. Throughout high school and college I have balanced many commitments, such as classwork, sports practices, jobs, and voluteering positions. Due to my many commitments, I have acquired excellent time management skills and respect other's and my own time. I am a responsible and capable student and hope to be a role model to the students I tutor.
