Find a Local Tutor Who Gets It

I've been teaching/mentoring in some capacity for the majority of my life. I find nothing more fulfilling than teaching/mentoring. One of my greatest qualities is the ability to make difficult material accessible to those struggling with it. I worked in youth ministry with jr. and sr. high students for many years, substituted for high school, and taught college classes. While I'm not currently working in the education field, I miss it and want to be able to give back in some way.

I would make a great tutor because when I teach, I always try and see the material from the student's perspective, and to word it in ways that they can grasp with ease. Additionally, I really enjoy teaching people new things, so I don't get frustrated with slow learners, in fact they are the most rewarding to work with. was always the smart guy growing up so that's where I get my experience in a wide variety of people to teach.

I think I would be a good tutor because I am currently a dedication teacher who loves working with students. I spend my work days teaching students in whole groups, small groups, and even one on one. I have already dedicated my life to the education of elementary students, I would love to use tutoring as another way to do that. Besides my three years of teaching experience, I have had some tutoring experience. In college, I worked in a literacy clinic to help a student who was behind in reading. I have also tutored in conjunction with some nannying experience. I am an extremely hard worker, am flexible, and always want what is best for my students.

I believe I would be a good tutor because I have done after school tutoring before when I was doing my community service. I also love teaching algebra and helping students practice their readings skills. I have worked in a kids retail department for three years, so I feel that it has benefited me from being able to interact with them.

I am a good tutor for two reasons. First and foremost, I am passionate about education, learning and teaching. To that end I have been a student teacher and completed most of the classes required to earn my California single subject teaching credential. Secondly, I am knowledgeable in several subjects in addition to being an experienced writer.

I am a good tutor because I became a teacher for the students. Helping students really grasp their subjects is what gets me excited for work each day. I've worked at various schools, from elementary level to university level. I currently teach Writing, Test Preparation, and Pathway (Cultural Transition Course) at the University of San Diego and English as a Second Language (all levels) to kids online. I am never late for a class and I am available via email for any questions or concerns you or the students may have. Teaching isn't just a job to me, it's connecting with people and enhancing their lives through academia and job opportunities thereafter.

I would be a good tutor because I love working and helping people. I have always loved and exceled in math. So combining the two makes me happy. When I was in middle and high school I went back to my elementary school to tutor kids and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I give individual concerned attention to each student, endeavoring to use creative ways to teach academics. I use methods that will reach auditory, visual, and tactile learners. I employ hands-on techniques for mathematics and I greatly enjoy creative writing to inspire reading as well as grammar. I have over twenty five years experience as an educator and tutor. Working with elementary students gives me great joy as it does my students.
