I would be a good tutor for Grade Potential, because I have had some experience working with kids. I work well in group settings and I have a strong desire helping others and I am willing to do whatever I can to help - even if it means learning a new subject.

I'm friendly and easy to get along with. I have always done fairly well in the past with helping my fellow students in my classes with their questions on the subject matter. I also love working with children and would enjoy an opportunity to assist in their education.

I have 25 years teaching experience, both at the high school level (developmental to Advanced Placement) and at Community College. For the past 20 years, I have participated in an advanced Shakespeare seminar for teachers (high school and university) held at Stratford-upon-Avon in the UK. I have also worked with elementary school students to improve thier reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary skills.I have developed tutoring programs for the high schools where I have taught. For several years, I tutored students with learning disabilities in English language, reading, and composition, both in small groups and individually. I have also tutored students in Advanced Placement English Literature.

I have experience tutoring, am pursuing a career in education, and enjoy working with students one-on-one. I am also considering doing SAT Math tutoring for the company, which is an area I excel in since I was a National Merit Finalist in High School.

I believe every student should have the opportunity to learn and some students may have bigger obstacles to overcome to understand the content. I understand and have experience working with students of varying degrees: some with learning disabilities, others that speak English as a second language, and still others who just need that one-on-one attention.I have been working with students since I was 14 when I received a work permit. Due to starting work at such an early age, I not only have experiences under my belt, but I also have developed an excellent work ethic. I am punctual, efficient with my time/resources, and very organized.I believe all these are qualities that would contribute to a good tutor at Grade Potential.

I love helping anyone learn something new -- especially kids/adolescents. I have a ton of patience.I have been tutoring on and off since I was a junior in college (approx. 11 yrs). I have worked mostly with elementary and middle school students, almost exclusively in English (and the related the subjects which I listed above). Over the years, I have also worked with a dozen or so high school students tutoring AP English and AP American Literature, and a smaller handful of students who needed tutoring in AP Government, AP History, or beginning French.

I have greatly enjoyed teaching almost my whole life, In high-school i acted as a tutor for my younger siblings and devoted 2 years to go to Argentina to teach and to help families in poverty.Two Years of Teaching Math, High-school level Science, English as a second language, Writing and Composition in Spanish In Argentina.

I would be a great tutor for Grade Potential because of my work expereince and personality. I have experience tutoring college students. I also have been an administrator for a college tutoring program, for which I designed a training program for tutors. Furthermore, I have worked with students of all ages from diverse backgrounds and ability levels.I am outgoing, friendly, and empathetic. I have a great understanding of the challenges of learning. I am also a great listener and therefore I am capable of understanding exactly what each student needs. Therefore, I can decide the best way to serve them considering their individual needs and learning style.
