Find a Local Tutor Who Gets It

I feel that I would be good because I have a background in customer service and tutoring. I feel I would be good working with younger kids, middle schoolers, and high schoolers. I work for the city of Santa Barbara for the parks and recreation division, as a recreation leader. I was also the team captain for my high school cross country and track teams, and the younger teenagers looked to me to set a good example. So I work well with kids and teens and believe who ever is looking for a tutor would be happy with me.

I have a great deal of experience, I truly enjoy working with children and watching them grow and acheive and I have a variety of strategies and approaches that I can utilize to meet each individual child's learning goals.Yes, in addition to 10 years of teaching I have also been a private tutor for students in kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th grades.

In the interest of time, I will simply say that I'm confident in my ability to meet or exceed the expectations that were expressed during the presentation. I am vibrantly passionate about teaching and learning many disciplines, and I'm contagiously optimistic. I hope to make learning and teaching my profession someday, and I see working for Grade Potential as an excellent opportunity to reach that goal.

I enjoy teaching and tutoring, it is a powerful ability to have in life. The idea of empowering others with your knowledge is extremely rewarding. To see the growth in clients is priceless and makes me feel good about how I use my skills.I interned tutoring at an Alternative school in Boston for one year and also served as a teacher, teacher's assistant, tutor and mentor at the same school through an AmeriCorps contract. Additionally I tutored and mentored during the summer of 2011 for a program called Youth Tutoring Youth which was also a program I worked for through my AmeriCorps contract. I have also been a substitute teacher.

I am very punctual, ambitious and friendly. I have reasonably good availability due to a flexible work schedule and reliable transportation. I adapt easily to working with new people and have experience with tutoring. In regards to English tutoring, I have experience proofreading and editing short articles written by non-native English speakers, and can easily identify and correct mistakes.

I'm friendly and easy to get along with. I'm punctual. I relate to young teens easily, while still maintaining a professional relationship with them. A lot of the classes that I would be willing to tutor for are classes that I've struggled with in the past but now feel comfortable with. I can offer new perspectives on material for students who need to see their problem subjects in a new light.

I have many years of teaching and tutoring experience and it's my passion. I love what I do and it's never work. Helping someone to gain tools an be mobile in society I believe you can't put a price on.Yes I have been tutoring in the Adult Literacy Program and at Ventura and Oxnard College. I have also tutored private clients in English and Accent reduction.

I find most classes which I have taken at the college level legitimately interesting and succeeded in them. I currently have a highly flexible schedule as I am taking the majority of my courses at Ventura College online. I am patient and enjoy helping people.I am also currently a student of Business and Accounting, and am coincidentally learning about independent contractors, so I think working in this position would provide an interesting inside experience.He made a series of lessons plans for State standardsi n econ in High school.
