Find a Local Tutor Who Gets It

I am a good tutor mainly because I have a lot of experience working with children of various ages in the past. Through this I have become patient, flexible, and have developed a good sense of humor! I have not formally tutored children, but at all of my previous jobs I would inevitably end up helping children with their homework. I am reliable because I am very conscientious, caring, and responsible. I love being able to help people out, and I am a hard worker! Also, I want to let you know that "details" is misspelled above. :)My past experiences tutoring involved helping children out with their homework at my various jobs working with children. I have worked with children of various ages, and have helped out with many types of homework. I have also helped students in my own classes while I was in college.

As a Special Education Instructional Aide for the parts of the last 10 years, I have the experience in various different environments and with a wide range of students. I love to teach and have a passion that I hope to convey to the students that I work with. I have the ability to build trust and rapport with my students that enables them to feel safe and comfortable. This environment lends itself to a commit to learning not only for their assignment but for a life long desire to learn.

A good tutor should be patient and understand how the student learns best, and I believe possess these skills. I currently tutor 6th grade math/pre-alegebra twice a week for a family. The various schools I have worked for in the past required me to tutor for students K-5 grade. I am a responsible adult, which people can rely on. I care about the education of students and that they comprehend multiple subjects.After school tutoring for three years, ages range: 2nd grade-5th grade. Currently tutoring students with minor disabilities for the Special Education Department at King Chavez Community High School.

While I am deeply knowledgeable of the subjects listed below, my true strength is my passion for teaching and a conviction that History isn't just about dead guys but about understanding how the world we live in works. So much social/political anger and confusion stems from ignorance and false truths, and I feel that it is my obligation to do my best to teach the next generation of adults how to speak and think about the problems our society faces in a mature and thoughtful manner.

I have worked with students from pre-school to college in a variety of subjects, including English, Math, and (Art) History. From tutoring young children to teaching undergraduate courses, I am comfortable teaching students of all ages and skill sets.I am currently employed part-time at Kumon of Solana Beach where my responsibilities include instructing children, ranging from kindergarten to high school, in math and reading; grading assignments; and miscellaneous administrative tasks.

I have an extensive history working with and teaching children. Although I've never specifically done tutoring work, I enjoy helping friends and classmates study by coming up with clever tricks for them to memorize key terms and concepts for their tests.

Ever since I started attending San Diego Mesa College, I have been the go-to of my friends when it came to math. I have been helping family members and others and I have liked it ever since as it is a good way to learn as well as to pass down the knowledge to those who need a little help.

I have four years of experience instructing General Chemistry laboratory classes, which consisted of 24 students in each class. I have been instructing these general chemistry labs since I was a junior at university, where I studied Biochemistry and Chemistry. I first started tutoring in high school, where a former teacher recruited me to tutor her current students in the Geometry course.
