I'm an excellent tutor because I'm extremely patient, diligent, and dedicated to working in english support and writing. I'm adept at promoting independent learning and providing english support to diverse students. I have experience teaching writing and providing english support to young adults at Glassless Minds Organization in San Diego. Specifically, I worked with Hispanic students and Spanish speakers from San Diego, and taught english lessons on grammar, rhetoric and composition, creative writing, and public speaking.In addition, I'm passionate about teaching young adults english language and literature, and I hope to work as a Communication Instructor after completing my Master's degree. I would be a good tutor because I have worked with students for the past 8 years in the classroom and I have a lot of experience in providing students with various methods to learn new material and practice it so that they can master it. I enjoy teaching greatly and love seeing students grow as they learn.

I would be a good tutor because I have patience and a passion for teaching. I have worked worked with children my whole life through daycare, churches, and elementary schools. I have developed my ability to be extremely patient while still achieving academic gains with my students. My experience working with toddlers to grade school children has taught me to keep an open mind and serve the children with a smile. I will not only bring my experience but patience and creative problem-solving to this position. In Fall of 2016, I spent a semester in Italy where I worked in an Italian elementary school and was an assistant to the teacher. I was mostly helping with the English learning. Not only that but I was also able to be a tutor for an Italian after school program. I worked with 4-6 children a week on Italian, English, history, and mathematics. Not only was it a challenge because each child learns at a different pace but also because there was a language barrier. Luckily I was in Italy to learn the Italian language so it was not too bad. I would be reliable for your students and office because I have a strong work ethic as I would consider myself hard working and reliable. In my past jobs, my co-workers could always count on me to help them with tasks or cover for them. My managers always gave me more tasks than others because they knew I would handle the extra work and get things done quick and effectively. I also have strong communication skills, which help me work well with teachers, students, and those alike. Depending on whom I am talking to, I know how to be professional and relate. Being patient is a skill that I have exercised a lot during teaching. Each person learns at his or her own rate so being patient has saved me stress and allowed me to be a more caring and loving teacher and person.

I am currently working as an AVID tutor for the Sweetwater District. AVID is a program that focuses on college preparedness and we focus on providing our kids an understanding to math, english, organization. I love to work with kids, each kid has their own personally and struggle and nothing feels better than when the child understands what he did no before. A sense of pride when the child excels is a very satisfying feeling, which just encourages me to help out more.

After the mastery of a subject I am the type of classmate to voluntarily help my peers. Through this I am able to do two things; help other students attain the same understanding as I do; ensure that I know the subject as well as I think I do. Over the years and after working with many different students and coworkers, I have learned to communicate different things to different types of people in order to achieve one goal - to learn!

As an undergraduate at Stanford I served as a Resident Assistant (RA), allowing me to engage with the undergraduate community. This experience allowed me to work with younger students and understand their challenges and motivations. This also provided a foundation for my Teaching Assistant (TA) roles at UCSD. I taught organic chemistry courses for 4 quarters and received overwhelmingly positive reviews from my students.I am a good tutor because of my personal style of teaching. I believe learning requires establishing trust and understanding between student and teacher, and I excel in finding common ground with students of all backgrounds. As a graduate student, my TA responsibilities always came first. While my career interests are still primarily in scientific research, education remains a passion of mine that I want to continue, thus my interest in working with Grade Potential.

As a student I know its difficult understanding some school subjects and have come through trial and error to know what works when it comes to helping a student understand a difficult subject. Also with my experience in the food industry, it has taught me to be patient and how to work with someone when they are frustrated, which I believe will help me when I aide frustrated students with a subject the cannot understand.

I would be a good tutor because I have excellent ability to put in simple words what I know. A lot of times, I have found myself thinking about how I'd explain a certain concept to someone who doesn't know anything about it. I currently teach. However, during my career in the industry (semiconductor industry, telecom industry, etc.,) as a marketing professional, I was involved in training sales reps on the product they were selling. I also made customer visits where I was called upon to describe the functionality of a product (such as a microchip) to design engineers in a succinct manner.Besides, I love teaching! To me, it's not just a job. It gives me a sense of accomplishment.
