Description
Gavin is an experienced educator with over five years of teaching experience, holding a Bachelor’s of Game Design and Production from Savannah College of Art and Design. He tutors a diverse range of subjects, including creative writing and computer literacy, and supports students from elementary to college levels.
Gavin began his career tutoring children aged 6-14 in basic computer literacy and game design skills. He then transitioned to creative writing instruction for middle schoolers, where he worked with groups from diverse backgrounds, co-creating curriculum and activities. This experience culminated in students’ final works being published, fostering their confidence and self-esteem. Currently, Gavin serves as a Game Design Instructor at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment, leading classes of up to 20 students in designing and producing games. He develops comprehensive curricula, collaborates on interdisciplinary projects, and guides students in effective communication. Gavin’s approach emphasizes clear communication, curriculum synthesis, and fostering an engaging learning environment. He is dedicated to providing students with constructive and educational outlets that help them grow.
