Holly is an experienced art educator and admissions professional with a Master of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute. Holly’s extensive background at the Kansas City Art Institute includes serving as an Instructor, where she taught a diverse range of subjects from Design Basics and Photoshop to Fabric & Surface Design and various dye processes. She also managed and resourced a full fiber studio, developing techniques and assisting with curriculum development. As the Associate Director of Admissions, Holly honed her skill in recognizing uncommon creative talent through visual, written, and verbal communication. Her passion lies in abstract fine art and hands-on, process-oriented visual decision-making. Holly adeptly challenges even the most experienced creative types, embracing both critical critique and alternative discovery processes to help students grow their artistic skills and confidence.
