The median household income of Tanque Verde is extremely high in comparison with the rest of Tucson, and even when you compare it to the rest of Arizona it is among the highest. Many horse lovers live here, as Tanque Verde has made a name for itself in the equestrian community.

Served by several school districts, many elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools are available to residents of East Tucson.
