Many programs and workshops are run by the nature center as well, garnering public support and the opportunity to appreciate the natural world in the middle of a sprawling urban region, packed full of people. Drawing in nature classes, Audubon clubs and appreciation groups, coastal cleanups, lecture series, and evening walks for families are all sponsored by the nature center, providing the public with a variety of activities beyond a leisurely stroll on a weekend afternoon.
