Toyota vehicles are a common sight, to the point that you either know someone who owns one or have owned one yourself! But did you know that Torrance, California is actually home to Automobile Museum dedicated solely to Toyota, or that it has a national sales headquarters located there as well?
Toyota started its journey in the United States in 1958, when it sold 288 of its vehicles to Americans. At the time the popular model was Toyopet, however that vehicle quickly lost favor as it was found it lacked the power Americans needed and was very overpriced. The Land Cruiser became the vehicle to have, until in 1965 the Toyota Corona arrived, and reached a whopping 20,000 vehicles sold in 1966! Not long after that the Corolla was introduced, and in 1967 Toyota was the third best-selling import brand in the United States.
By 1972 Toyota marked its one millionth vehicle sold, and was the leading manufacturer of import cars in the United States, even beating out Volkswagen. Success just seemed to be in the future of Toyota, as they took the vehicle industry by storm. In 1986 they sold over one million cars in one year! This turn came at a good time as this is also the year that Toyota opened it’s first manufacturing plant in the United States.
In 1989 Toyota decided to create a luxury line of vehicle, and Lexus was born. They must have done something right, because in a couple short years Lexus was voted number one luxury import in the United States, even with competition like Mercedes and BMW. It seemed nothing could slow Toyota down, and in 1997 the Toyota Camry earned the first title of number one selling passenger car in the United States! It was too bad that Toyota wasn’t offering Torrance tutoring services to other vehicle manufacturers! Toyota, was just concerned about their vehicles, however, and in the early 2000’s stepped up their game in a big way.
Toyota responded to the world growing environmental concerns by unveiling the Toyota Prius, the first car of its kind and a large technological advancements in the world of vehicles. Toyota showed a dedication to its vehicles and what it was producing, and found success in their hard work. You too can achieve success with hard work and dedication, making sure to meet with your Torrance tutor on a regular basis to give you the foundation you need to move forward in life!

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
