In the northeastern region of the great state of Maryland, Reisterstown sits just northwest of the big city of Baltimore. Reisterstown is a beautiful, small, clean city with a lot to offer. Families that live here enjoy a high quality of life surrounded by many unique historical sites, and a short commute to Baltimore.
With such a unique name, Reisterstown was named after a European immigrant in the mid 1700s named John Reister. When this land was first purchased by Mr. Reister, he named the community “Reister’s Desire”, but that name didn’t last long. It originally served as a place for travelers to stop along their journey through the area, with hotels, supplies, and a simple diner. Once other tradesmen and business entrepreneurs began to settle here in Reisterstown, more developments popped up, and soon the population began to grow. This particular area of Maryland is much older than many surrounding communities, and as a result, has many old, historical buildings throughout the city. Architecture buffs and United States history enthusiasts should note that Reisterstown is worth exploring.
One particularly historic part of the city is called the Reisterstown Historic District, and it has gained national attention. As it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, there are many beautiful churches and old buildings to explore and tour around Reisterstown. Reisterstown is now considered to be a suburb of Baltimore, and as a result, many people who work in Baltimore have made Reisterstown their home. The neighborhoods here are great with a low crime rate, making it an ideal place to raise a family.
Another reason why families love living in Reisterstown is the great education provided to local students. There are several public elementary schools to choose from, one public middle school, and one public high school. You’ll notice that several local schools have the name “Franklin” and this is in honor of Benjamin Franklin. The first school named after the historical figure was Franklin Academy, a public high school that got its start in the late 1800s. After many years of service, Franklin Academy was repurposed and changed into a public library. Beyond the great public schools here in Reisterstown, there are several private schools to choose from, and charter schools as well. For students of any age or grade level, local Reisterstown tutors are available. These local tutors can help any student work towards reaching their educational potential.

Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
