Raymore Missouri is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Kansas City Missouri area. It isn’t hard to see why. In recent years the Kansas City Missouri Community For All Ages Coalition gave Raymore a Silver designation for its efforts to make the city a welcoming place for all ages and abilities. Award winning city planning efforts include: safe streets for pedestrians, cyclists and motor-vehicles, and city subdivisions. Raymore features more than 10 miles of trails and sidewalks in a city wide network connecting homes, schools, businesses, and parks.
The City events calendar offers a variety of weekly, monthly and annual events suitable for residents of all ages. Centrally located in T.B. Hanna Station Park the Original Town Farmers Market runs 4 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday June to September. The market features urban and rural farm products, food and crafts. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment including music, free fitness classes and even instructional gardening workshops.
Parks and recreation encourages residents of all ages to participate in activities. There are city sponsored martial arts classes for children and yoga and chair fitness classes for older adults. A Raymore tutor can help you get ahead, so you can get back to enjoying all of the wonderful things the city has to offer.
The history of Raymore, like many small towns in the Midwest, is built on railway lines criss crossing the land. Before the railroad arrived the area now known as Raymore was sparsely settled and one of the last areas to see development in Missouri as the country slowly grew west. There were no large creeks. There were no trees. The area was so bare it was considered a continuation of the Kansas prairie. Raymore is home to Watkins Family Farm Historic District. Also known as Lakeland Farm, it was recently designated a national historic site. It is an excellent example of a working, turn of the century farm. The farm represents the “Prairie” style of architecture; so named for the wide, flat roof lines that are said to reflect the expanse of the Midwestern prairie at the time these homes were built. Notably the residence was built from a kit ordered from the Sears Roebuck catalog.
The name Raymore is actually a blend of the names of two men: George Rae and Henry Moore. Rae and Moore built the Kansas City, Clinton and Springfield railroad. For almost 50 years, eight trains each day stopped at the Raymore Depot before continuing to Clinton and Springfield, Missouri. Passengers and crew often stayed overnight at the hotel in town. Today Raymore is 17.5 square miles. It is located in Cass County, Missouri, approximately 20 miles south of downtown Kansas City. Enjoy time with your tutor in a safe, convenient location with small town charm.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
Typically within 2-3 business days, depending on subject, location, and schedule availability. Urgent timelines are noted in your profile so introductions prioritize your timing.
