    About Pasadena

    Near the central part of the uniquely shaped state of Maryland, you will find the community of Pasadena. Even though Pasadena is fairly small, it has a distinct culture and families that live here love the beautiful landscapes, safe streets, and services provided them by Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Local sports leagues provide great ways for Pasadena children to get involved and stay physically fit and active, while the two local libraries provide excellent resources for education.

    When it comes to local water features, Pasadena residents have plenty of fun outdoor water-related activities available to them based on their geographical location. The Patapsco River lies along the eastern border of Pasadena, along with the community of Riviera Beach and Lake Shore. This area gives Pasadena residents access to the Maryland state harbor and waterway. Pasadena is also close to Chesapeake Bay, which affords many jobs and activities to residents of Pasadena.

    Pasadena is a community that prides itself on being very warm and family-friendly. The community provides many different outlets for the children that live here, and many different ways to be active and involved. When it comes to local sports clubs, the children that live in Pasadena have a lot of options. Baseball, football, soccer, softball, basketball, lacrosse, and several other sports are all included in the local recreational sports leagues. Field hockey and wrestling are two other very popular sports here in Pasadena. Two local libraries, the Mountain Road Library and the Riviera Beach Library, provide great places for local clubs to meet, and also wonderful places to read, study, and learn.

    Even though there are no public schools that serve only Pasadena residents, there are many schools available to the students that live in Pasadena by the Anne Arundel County school district. The county provides access to many different schools and educational resources for residents of all of these small communities in Anne Arundel County. There are public schools, private schools, and charter schools to choose from, and parents appreciate having a good selection. There are nine different public elementary schools, two public middle schools, and two public high schools. A number of private schools are also available within the county. For students of any age, an additional option for educational help is available. Local tutors here in Pasadena are available.
