A small town with a big personality, Little Canada is a suburban city within the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. Like many cities in this region of Minnesota, Little Canada has a lot of character, and is surrounded by natural beauty. Families that live here enjoy the slower pace of life, and the low crime rate of Little Canada.
You might thing a town with the name like “Little Canada” would be right along the United States and Canada border, right? Well, not so with Little Canada. Little Canada is located in the southeast region on Minnesota. The reason for its Canadian ties traces back to its first settler, Benjamin Gervais, who began to develop this area and created the first privately owned grist mill in the entire state. This small town began as a township, but nearby cities crew quickly and began to threaten to overtake Little Canada. Local officials decided that Little Canada should officially be named a city, and their wishes came true in the mid 1970s.
Appropriate to its name, Little Canada flies its city flag, which depicts the classic maple leaf of Canada’s flag, but with a slight modification. A fleur-de-lis on top of the leaf depicts the city’s initials, “LC”. With many French Canadians living in Little Canada, there are many seasonal celebrations that relate to their Canadian influences. Canadian Days is an annual festival in Little Canada that celebrates this heritage.
Canadian Days has been going on since Little Canada’s official instatement as a city in the mid 1970s. This annual festival is the work of volunteers and is sponsored by local businesses in Little Canada and surrounding communities. Live music, carnival rides, local food trucks, and games are just a few of the fun-filled activities at Canadian Days.
With most of the local schools being within the Roseville Area School District and some of them within the White Bear Lake School District, residents of Little Canada are given several choices when it comes to picking out the best school for their children. There is one elementary school within Little Canada, and that is Little Canada Elementary School. There is also a middle school within the city of Little Canada, Roseville Area Middle School. Parents appreciate these small schools, as they feel their kids are getting a high quality of education and the smaller classroom size appeals to many. For students that need a little extra help, they can contact a local Little Canada tutor for one-on-one assistance in a wide variety of subjects.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
