A small, quiet city in the northwest part of San Antonia, Leon Valley has a lot to offer families that are looking for a small town lifestyle in the heart of Texas. With a lot of beautiful natural areas, this farming town is a safe, wonderful place to raise a family.
Leon Valley started out as a community of farmers, working on the land and producing various crops for export throughout the state of Texas. It was the 1940s, and times were changing, but these farmers wanted to make sure that their lifestyle wouldn’t change too much. When the 1950s came along, Leon Valley fought to be independent of San Antonio. They wished to be their own city, and they worked hard to ensure that their community would remain safe and independent from the larger neighboring city. Though the population has grown significantly since its incorporation in 1954, Leon Valley remains in some ways the same as it has always been.
Residents that live in Leon Valley have a lot of pride in their independence and their ability to take care of themselves. The Public Works Department in Leon Valley prides itself on maintaining city streets, public areas, and community buildings. They do a great job, and residents that live here feel like they live in a very safe, well kept environment.
Living in a beautiful part of south central Texas affords Leon Valley a beautiful backdrop. With gorgeous trees and native wildlife, Leon Valley is peaceful, and boasts some great outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy. Among those outdoor spaces are public parks and recreational facilities, maintained by the Public Works Department. Rimkus Park, a local favorite in Leon Valley, is a large park with a lot to offer families and residents of all backgrounds. With numerous sports fields, playgrounds for smaller children, barbeque areas, picnic benches, and more, Rimkus Park is continually being updated and renovated. Families love spending afternoons here, with so many different activities available. A nature path that works its way through the twenty-three acres of park area provides residents with a great trail for running, walking, or biking. A community garden is also available for use by any community member, making it a wonderful resource for teaching children the value of locally grown produce.
Not far from Rimkus Park you’ll find an even larger park, with a more forested area and an even more robust network of walking paths. Huebner-Onion Natural Area Park features a creek, which is a great place for families to witness local wildlife coming to take a drink or relax by the water.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
