Greensboro has a long history in the textile and furniture manufacturing industries. After the Civil War was over, these industries needed to be rebuilt, and Greensboro successfully re-established their name as a leading city in these industries. At the turn of the century and in the early 1900s, Greensboro was known in the southern United States as the “capital” city when it came to the textile industry, producing much of the materials for the clothing production of the time. This generated a very healthy local economy in Greensboro, and you can see the richness of the area based on some of the grand buildings that were build during that time period. The local courthouse, for example, is a work of modern art, with grand architectural features.
Since the early 2000s, there has been some development in Greensboro, including a new shopping center in town. The Four Seasons Town Centre provides a great place for locals to go shopping, with many big brand name shops here. The nearby Greensboro Colosseum provides a great event venue for locals here in Greensboro.
Students of Greensboro are served by the Guilford County Public School District. Beyond the public schools within this district, there are also a number of private school and charter school options available to local students. For any students living in Greensboro, local Greensboro tutors are available for extra help. These local tutors can meet one-on-one to help each student reach their personal educational goals.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
