A city in the south central region of Arizona, Florence is a unique town, rich in local history. With an “old west” background, Florence’s colorful past provides interest to many tourists who come to the area. Families love living in Florence for its ideal location, warm climate, and high-quality amenities available. Florence is a small city with a lot to offer.
Long before American settlers made their way to this area of the country, the land that is now the city of Florence was once the home of an ancestral Apache tribe. The Athabascans, these Apache ancestors, lived here and throughout this region of Arizona. It wasn’t until the mid 1800s that this land was purchased as an American territory. As a part of the Gadsden Purchase, Arizona was considered by surveyors to be a great piece of land for agricultural settlements. The town of Florence was then established as a farming town in the late 1860s, and white settlers began to come to the area to start their careers as farmers.
Florence became an iconic “old west” town in the late 1800s, complete with local silver miners, gunfights, saloons, and stagecoach robberies. Several of the original town’s buildings from this time can be found in historic Florence today, and many of these buildings are the reason why Florence is on the National Register of Historic Places. With over two dozen protected and preserved historic buildings, Florence is a great place to visit for an interesting look into Arizona of days past.
A local attraction that brings in thousands of tourists every year is Country Thunder, a music festival that takes place here in Florence. Each spring, some of country music’s biggest names come to perform at Country Thunder, as this is the southwestern United States’ largest country music festival. More than just live shows from country music’s finest performers, Country Thunder also features a huge dance party each night, with a unique theme for each day of the week. Even though the Country Thunder music festival is considered to be family friendly, the biggest demographic consists of adults in their twenties and early thirties.
When it comes to education, local families feel that the local schools provide positive learning environments for their children. Students can find additional help by meeting with local Florence tutors. These tutors are available to work one-on-one with students of all levels, and help these kids reach their educational goals.

Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
