The Clemmons Park and Recreation Department puts on a few very popular local events that bring in many local residents as well as residents from surrounding communities. One such event is the Festival of Lights, which takes place during the month of December each year. The lights display happens at Tanglewood Park, and is considered to be a “drive through” display where anyone can participate by driving their vehicle down the designated streets to view all of the beautiful light displays. Even though Clemmons is a small town, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to see the Festival of Lights each year.
