About Clemmons

In the northwestern region of North Carolina lies a charming, small town, called Clemmons. Clemmons is loved by all who live here, and boasts a rich history in Forsyth County. Clemmons boasts a tight-knit community, with many well-attending community events, and beautiful local parks. With easy access to the local interstate highway, residents of Clemmons have easy access to many local cities, and many residents of Clemmons commute to work each day. Considered to be a very family-friendly place to live, Clemmons truly does have a lot to offer.

Residents of Clemmons love all of the local parks and recreational facilities here in town. Despite being a small town, Clemmons has an active Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible not only for maintaining the local parks and natural spaces here in Clemmons, but also for planning and executing local community events.

One of the best local parks here in Clemmons is the Tanglewood Park Arboretum and Rose Garden. Not only is this a great outdoor space to bring the whole family, it is also a wonderful example of preservation. Home to many unique trees and plant species, the rose garden is particularly popular, with almost a thousand rose bushes, many of which have won various awards from the American Rose Society. Besides the famous rose garden, the Tanglewood Park Arboretum in Clemmons also boasts a beautiful butterfly garden, several seasonal gardens, regional gardens, and even a dedicated children’s area.

The Clemmons Park and Recreation Department puts on a few very popular local events that bring in many local residents as well as residents from surrounding communities. One such event is the Festival of Lights, which takes place during the month of December each year. The lights display happens at Tanglewood Park, and is considered to be a “drive through” display where anyone can participate by driving their vehicle down the designated streets to view all of the beautiful light displays. Even though Clemmons is a small town, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to see the Festival of Lights each year.

Residents of Clemmons attend the local schools in the Clemmons Public School District. There are also several alternative school options, including several private schools and charter schools.
