First popular in the late 1800’s, the lake has a long history with hotels and resorts dotting the lake shore. Lake Minnetonka Regional Park is an ideal spot for families with ample fishing, hiking and biking as well as picnic grounds and a disc golf course. In the winter, the recreational area is open for skiing, sledding and snowmobiling.
