Centerville is a close knit community in southwestern Ohio. Right in the “Heart of Centerville,” is the Town Hall Theatre; a place that has been a big part of the community for decades. Washington Township Hall was built in 1908, and was designed to be the city’s meeting hall; and serve as the main town venue for events and special occasions like graduations and Grange activities. It was also the location of Washington Township’s government offices until 1985. (The hall was originally part of the Washington Township; but in 2008, Washington Township was incorporated into the city of Centerville.) The Town Hall remained a government building and community meeting place until 1989; when it began being used as a theatre. Using the old Town Hall as a theatre was so successful that in 1992, the city began a four year facility renovation; creating a completely refurbished auditorium, lobby, dress rehearsal room, dance studio and scene shop. They also updated the facility as a whole, adding an accessible ramp entrance and restrooms.
Today, the theatre continues to be a big part of the community. It is used by three production companies that feature performers from two years old to adulthood. The heart of the theatre is to gear their performances towards young audiences; and they do so through family-friendly productions that audiences of all ages can enjoy. The theatre produces an impressive eight to ten shows per season between the three companies. All three companies are a little bit different; the Landmark Children’s Theatre features professional adult actors who work alongside volunteer adult and youth performers; the All Children’s Youth Theatre features kids between the ages of two and twelve; and every show includes the entire young cast in large allcast productions; the Touring Teens company is an offshoot of the All Children’s Youth Theatre; and features students between seventh and twelfth grade. Those middle school and high school students prepare performances for an in-school tour. Every year, over 10,000 audience members enjoy the Town Hall Theatre productions, and over four hundred volunteers help make them possible. The Town Hall Theatre could tutor other programs in how to get people of all ages involved in their shows.
Apart from the theatre productions, the facility offers several acting, dance, and music classes; and in the summer the Rec’ Center hosts summer camps in acting, singing, and more at the theatre. Town Hall Theatre’s goal is to bring the community together to inspire and cultivate performing arts. The theatre is proud to offer experiences to performers of all levels and ages, and offer the community a fun and safe place to make memories together.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
