"We had a great experience working with our tutor, Danielle. She was wonderful, patient, kind, and always prepared. She even tailored lessons to Sofia's needs (and moods)."

Cedar Mill Oregon is a neighborhood of Portland and an unincorporated area of Washington county. It is just a short drive from Beaverton Oregon as well. Cedar Mill got its name from a sawmill on Cedar Mill Creek. The mill cut a type of tree called Western Redcedars, which were once the main type of tree in the area. Much of the lumber that came out of Cedar Mill was used to build Portland when it was still a new settlement. Though the Mill itself is no longer standing visitors can enjoy a stroll along a recently completed boardwalk that slopes gently up for a view of the water falls that once powered the town’s namesake mill. The boardwalk is accessible for people with disabilities and features a raised viewing area with benches. It is an ideal spot for picknicking, relaxing or meeting with your Cedar Mills tutor for a study session in pleasant weather.
A short distance from the boardwalk residents and visitors can also access two sites in the Tualatin recreation district: Jordan Woods Natural Area and Jackie Husen Park. Jackie Husen Park features a newly constructed picnic shelter and a short paved loop around an athletic field. You can enjoy a short walk and review material at the same time with your Cedar Mill tutor. Extend your walk or just enjoy a more serene natural environment by taking an additional paved quarter-mile trail from Jackie Husen Park to Jordan Woods Natural Area. Jordan Woods overlooks Cedar Mill Creek. Follow the trail and enjoy a recently developed art installation: a series of granite sculptures called Mossuments. Each installation has engraved information for different moss species. Visitors are encouraged to pay attention to the smaller things around them, and observe how moss will attach and grow on different structures over time.
Oregon weather can change quickly but that doesn’t keep Cedar Mill residents from staying active year round. Tualatin Recreation District operates a variety indoor of sports complexes, including two in nearby Beaverton. The Tualatin Hills Recreation Center features indoor basketball courts and an indoor walking/jogging track. The basket ball courts are also home to scheduled volleyball, badminton, and table tennis games. On the same 92 acre property as the Recreation Center, you can also find the Howard M. Terpenning Center (HMTC). HMTC features a 50-meter pool, tennis courts, fields for soccer, football and lacrosse, softball fields, baseball fields, a roller hockey rink, skate parks, as well as indoor and outdoor basketball courts, two covered play areas and a 10-acre natural area with walking trails. There is so much to do indoors and out in Cedar Mill, Oregon. A Cedar Mill tutor can help you get ahead of the curve so that you can get back to everything the city has to offer.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
Typically within 2-3 business days, depending on subject, location, and schedule availability. Urgent timelines are noted in your profile so introductions prioritize your timing.
