If you need a little pick-me-up in Bothell, Washington, look no further than Country Village Shops. The outdoor mall features forty-six local shops and restaurants, brick paths meandering past a duck pond and train, personal attention from shopkeepers, and a full line-up of special events to make shopping even more fun. Here are some typical events offered:
Ladies Night Out: Drastic discounts and refreshments welcome female shoppers to the Country Village Shops one night a month. Shoppers pick up a passport and earn stamps with purchases. Passports are turned in for a chance at a gift basket loaded with goods from every participating vendor, plus a $50 gift certificate valid at any of the shops.
Pirate Day: Shoppers dress in pirate garb (optional, but fun!) and use a treasure map to find “pirate booty” at each “port.” The Pirates of Treasure Island might even pay a visit! Vittles are available for hungry shoppers.
Farmers’ Market: Vendors turn out every Friday afternoon from June through September to sell locally grown produce, homemade baked goods, fresh eggs, cut flowers, honey, coffee, loose-leaf tea, jams, and handmade candles and jewelry.
Vino Around the Village: Italian wines are available for winetasting throughout the village on this special fundraiser night that benefits Il Punto Italian Cultural Center.
Halloween Festivities: Witches Night Out invites shoppers to come in costume, join in on a witch hunt, enjoy refreshments, and earn prizes. Little ghouls and goblins are invited to go Trick-or-Treating at the shops or at Main Street businesses in downtown Bothell on Halloween night (of course, trick-or-treating comes after homework, which can go fast with the assistance of a Bothell tutor).
Taste of the Holidays: Country Village merchants pull out their best merchandise, demonstrations, activities, and treats for this event. There’s also a winetasting walk, kids’ crafts, and live reindeer.
Gingerbread House Weekend: Guests can decorate a real gingerbread house and just might spot the gingerbread man and woman roaming around the village.
Holiday Fun: Country Village pulls out all the stops on this festive weekend, starting with Santa’s arrival and lighting of the live tree. All shops will be decorated to the hilt, and local quartets will be strolling the grounds. On a separate weekend, kids are invited to share cookies with Mrs. Claus. Photos with Santa are available throughout the holiday season.
A Pirate X-mas: The fun continues with a second Santa “Arrgh-rival.” Also in attendance will be the Pirates of Treasure Island and their ship, the Buccaneer Queen. Live music and magic tricks make this event fun for the whole family.
Any time of the year, the Country Village Shops are a relaxing respite for the entire family. Local students won’t want to miss the fun, and a Bothell tutor can help them knock out that homework and free up some time for shopping.

Families share goals and scheduling preferences through a short intake. That information becomes a learner profile. Grade Potential then introduces your profile to a professional independent tutor whose background aligns. Once the tutor accepts, you’re introduced directly and sessions can begin.
Our packages are highly customizable based on your budget, preferred session cadence, time frame, location, and a few other factors. You’ll be presented with clear pricing before you begin. We support families in choosing the session length and cadence that works best for their individual situation; no hard sales tactics and no obligation to purchase a long-term package.
Typically within 2-3 business days, depending on subject, location, and schedule availability. Urgent timelines are noted in your profile so introductions prioritize your timing.
In-person at home or another convenient, quiet, safe location (like the local library). When families need flexibility, online sessions are also available.
Experienced, professional independent tutors with strong subject knowledge and a track record of working one-on-one with students. Many hold degrees in their fields; some are certified teachers or graduate students with specialized expertise.
Yes—safety is our top priority. Tutors complete screening through Simpliverified background checks, consistent with local requirements and platform standards.
Just let Grade Potential know. Your profile can be introduced to a different tutor at no cost to you, and once accepted, you’ll be re-introduced so sessions continue without losing momentum.
Support spans elementary through college across all core subjects (math, reading, writing, science, languages) plus test prep (e.g., SAT/ACT, AP, GRE) and many electives. If it’s taught in school, there’s likely a tutor with relevant experience. Adult learners can also benefit from tutoring services in a wide variety of subjects.
Most families choose 60-90 minute sessions 1-2 times per week. Cadence and length are set directly with the tutor to fit the student’s goals, pace, and schedule.
